The upcoming winter season will be opened with a special appearance
by no other than top producer Slimmah Sound alongside
the singers Jah Melodie and Lyrical Benjie.
For the first time in the Rhine region, the trio will put the heat on the audience with their top notch productions, hot tunes and legendary voices. The dance is anticipated to bring reggae disciples from across Europe, music fanatics, intrigued locals and absolutely anyone who is looking for a good night out.
The Amsterdam based artists are in the top league of european soundsystem culture. Slimmah Sound is involved in several labels like Roots Tribe Records, Bush and Shadow and others. He is also accountable for heaps of dubplates played by sounds like King Shiloh. His latest releases featuring Lyrical Benjie and Jah Melodie are skyrocketing the charts and a “killah” at the dances.The two singers will rock the session in a”showcase style”, bringing real soundsystem culture to the people. Uplifting vibes ina di dance!

Wir servieren Euch in der Hotelküche des ehemaligen Hotel Beethoven in Bonn exklusiv zubereitet:

Frische jamaikanische Rhythmen auf warmen Basswellen abgerundet mit einem Conscious Dancehall Soufflé und Dub-Beats der Saison.

Die Bar Ludwig ist direkt am Rhein gegenüber der Oper (Werkstattbühne). Die ehemalige Hotelbar und der Konferenzraum, sowie die Hotelküche werden voraussichtlich noch bis Anfang 2010 als Raum für Kultur zwischengenutzt.

Liebe Bonner Kultur-interessierte Freunde,

Schön, dass es geklappt hat, die Themen “Subkultur” und “Öffentlicher Raum” einmal auf die politische Agenda zu bringen. Die beiden Fragen sind auf OBWAHL-BONN.de direkt unter die Top 5 geschossen und wurden von allen OB-Kandidaten beantwortet. Hoffen wir, dass sich der zuküntige Oberbürgermeister nach der Wahl noch daran erinnert. Besser als hoffen: - dran bleiben.

Zur Erinnerung: Was tut die Stadt Bonn eigentlich für die Kultur jenseits des Mainstreams und der Kommerzialisierung? Und was wird der zukünftige Oberbürgermeister dafür tun? Das wollten wir wissen und haben zumindest von unseren OB-Kandidaten Antworten bekommen.
